Numbers Play Tricks

There are a number of us who know this but there are still many who don’t. Still to this day Ihear the same comments exclaimed by a friend or clients. “I started working out religiously for a about a month or 2  etc. and have been eating very well, but the scale says I havent  lost any weight. Why cant I lose any weight? ” My firsts questions to them are. Well how do you feel in your clothes? Do you see any difference in the mirror? 9 times out of 10 if you really have been working out and following a healthy diet, your doing the right thing. The scale plays tricks on you. You see, Muscle weighs a lot more than Fat. So when your weight training, your building muscle and as a plus burning Fat. There for, you really have lost weight.

Fat takes up more than four times as much space as lean muscle mass. So if you want to reduce your size, then reduce your percentage of body fat. An obvious indicator is your waistline. If your pants are becoming baggy but your weight is not changing too much, you know you are heading in the right direction.

So do not get discouraged in anyway and think that it doesn’t work. Keep it up ladies and gentlemen. Your on the right path. 🙂 Some advice. Stop looking at the scale every other day or so. Wait about 2 weeks at a time if you really have to see that number but don’t get yourself wrapped up in it. It’s all right there in front of you where you can actually SEE it without stepping on the scale. Your body doesn’t lie….
