How has training benefitted your life/health?
Training is incredibly fun for me to do, because I love sports and exercise. When I play field hockey on weekends, I can feel the difference. I feel like I have more stamina, and I’m a lot stronger and faster. Also, training has been getting me in great shape for my lacrosse season in the spring.
What were your initial goals and how’s training gotten you progressing toward them?
I first started training at The Training Floor with the Fairfield County United club field hockey team. The idea was for us to have one day to condition and get into better shape. I started personal training with Cat soon after the group sessions started in order to have an extra boost to get me in shape. I definitely feel the results during games, and when I work out at home. Cat has been so encouraging throughout my whole time at The Training Floor, and so have Ray and George… It always helps to have a supporting voice over your shoulders, and three is even better!
What’s your favorite exercise to do with your trainer?
Cat knows that there are some exercises that I do not like to do, but there are so many that we like as well! I really love ninja getups and the speed ladder the most.
What’s your favorite meal?
It’s hard to choose my favorite meal because the foods that I like don’t necessarily make a good meal. An ideal meal for me would probably homemade soup from my mom, cold vegetables, and a bunch of salad.
What would you say to people about the training floor or who never have had a personal trainer and are considering one?
Go for it! Ray, George, and Cat are all so encouraging that you can’t go wrong in at least trying to train with them. It’s always great to go to The Training Floor and feel like I’m going to have fun, not just have a hard workout. The unique style in which they work you out is awesome, fun, and you can feel it working.
